Knitting and Crochet blog week #1

La 4ème Semaine du Tricot et du Crochet (Knitting and Crochet blog week) commence aujourd'hui et les francophones n'ont aucune excuse : toutes les instructions ont été traduites sur ce blog, rejoignez-nous !!! 

Pour ce premier jour, il faut choisir un animal (dans une liste) auquel on s'identifie le plus en tant qu'adepte du tricot et/ou du crochet. Pour moi le choix est simple, je suis... un singe ! 

Les singes sont décrits comme des êtres intelligents, qui aiment s'amuser et voient chaque nouveau projet comme un défi. 

Je ne me serais pas mieux décrite. Ce que j'aime dans le tricot (comme dans mon métier de traductrice d'ailleurs) c'est cette certitude que je peux m'améliorer et apprendre chaque jour, découvrir de nouvelles techniques, de nouvelles façons de faire, et que la seule limite, en gros, c'est mon imagination et ma motivation à apprendre. N'est-ce pas absolument merveilleux ?

For me, the choice was quite simple. As you can see above, I am a monkey! 

The text on Eskimimi's post is the exact description of how I envisage crafts in general: fun, and a good occasion to learn something news. And this is, I think, the beauty of knitting and crochet, or most of crafts, if you think of it: you can keep on learning all life long, discovering new techniques and mastering them as you go, knowing that the only limit to that will be your motivation. Isn't that great?
