D13 de tricheuse / Monthly challenge but "cheating"

Bon. Caramels et chocolat peut-être mais je n'ai rien dans mes projets qui colle à tout cela, et comme je suis déjà dans les cadeaux de Noël, je n'avais pas vraiment envie de me casser la tête ce mois-ci. Donc j'ai triché. Ben oui. Mon tricot est bel et bien chocolat mais... chocolat blanc ! ;-)

Un petit béret qui m'était destiné mais qui va finalement bien mieux à la grande sœur de Théo. Pas de photos du béret porté parce que sur moi c'est trop petit, et sur Madeleine je n'ai pas de photo à disposition, donc juste quelques images pour vous donner une idée. 

Des rangs raccourcis et du point mousse, ça ne vous rappelle rien ? Après les mitaines, voici un autre modèle d'Ysolda, le très célèbre Urchin (qui veut dire "oursin" en anglais, vous aurez compris pourquoi). 

Ce modèle est vraiment hyper bien construit (normal, c'est un modèle d'Ysolda) et le fil que j'ai choisi (Michigan de Fonty, trouvé chez Élodie) (qui a refait son site et c'est très joli) s'y prêtait très bien. Ma seule angoisse, maintenant, c'est : il m'en reste un peu, mais est-ce que cela va me suffire pour en faire un autre, plus grand, que je pourrai vraiment porter ? 

Réponse bientôt. Et en attendant, les autres superstitieuses sont par ici ! Bon tricot ! 

The theme for the monthly challenge was "toffee & chocolate" but these colours, or the colours usually associated with these foods, did not really suit my Christmas knitting (yes! already!) planning. So I kind of cheated and here come my "white chocolate" project.

This is Urchin, you might have recognized it. Garter stitch and short rows is a signature of Ysolda's first patterns and after the mittens I had to knit this one! This is the middle size but it got a bit smaller after washing so I gave it to Theo's sister, Madeleine. I just hope I can knit one which will really suit me with the yarn I still have, but I am afraid this will not be enough. Wait and see! 

Oh and the yarn is Michigan (Fonty), found as often at Élodie's shop.

Rattrapage (3) / Catching up #3

Et voici donc le dernier (mais pas le moindre) de mes tricots 2011 : une écharpe en grosse laine bien chaude pour l'une de mes amies, cadeau de Noël et commande spéciale "une écharpe doudou, grise". Ce n'était pas tombé dans l'oreille d'une sourde, j'avais quelques jolies pelotes d'une grosse laine bien épaisse dans le stock, leur utilisation était toute trouvée. 

 

Holding hands, feeding ducks (ravelry), une écharpe toute simple mais un chouette résultat ! 

Le fil : Michigan (Fonty), un fil méché donc irrégulier, un gris lumineux, j'adore ! Il me reste quelques pelotes en blanc crème, je commence à me demander si je ne vais pas me refaire une écharpe pour moi... même le chat a tellement aimé qu'il s'est invité sur la photo !

So here comes the last part of my 2011 knitting, which was a Christmas gift for one of my best friends. "A cozy and warm scarf, grey if possible", she said. As a matter of fact, I had THE perfect yarn in my stash, so it just took me a few hours to make her Christmas dream come true. 

The pattern is Holding hands, feeding ducks (ravelry) and the yarn is Michigan (Fonty). I think it is discontined now and it is a shame, because this bulky and irregular yarn just gave a great touch to that pattern! 

Anyway, my friend is very happy with her present and with the Siberian temperatures we have been having these weeks, I guess this was just the perfect gift!
