Choses lues, choses vues / Things I read recently...

Un petit peu de solidarité pour commencer... Vous voulez aider les réfugiés syriens (et les autres, d'ailleurs ?) Rose chiffon a lancé l'opération "Knit for them", tout est expliqué ici. Vous avez jusqu'au 31 octobre, à vos aiguilles !

Dans un tout autre registre Hélène M., la blogueuse et créatrice de (fort jolis) modèles sous la marque Cerise et Grenade,  a lancé un crowdfunding pour vivre du tricot pendant l'année qui arrive. L'article sur son blog explique sa démarche, c'est très intéressant !

En parlant de crowdfunding, Mademoiselle C avait lancé l'an dernier une opération un peu similaire pour financer son voyage au Japon. Elle en a rapporté plusieurs articles sur la teinture à l'indigo, ici et là. Dépaysement assuré ! (also available in English!) 

Je vous ai parlé à plusieurs reprises du projet Wool War One de Délit Maille. Il sera au Grand Palais, à Paris, à l'occasion des journées du patrimoine les 19 et 20 septembre. À ne pas rater !!! (merci à Petite Sitelle pour l'info !)

J'ai bien ri lorsque mon cher et tendre m'a demandé si j'allais me mettre à jouer à ça... et vous ? ;)

Kate Davies has more than one trick in her bag, as we say in French (this is a litteral translation!) and she will never stop to surprise us: she is now launching her own yarn brand and the colours just look fabulous! Can't wait to see it for real! (and I am on a yarn diet, ahum). 

Speaking of Kate Davies, I was just wordless when I saw the images and explanations of her handmade wedding. Have a look, it is really beautiful.
