Le pull que je vous ai montré la semaine dernière étant en fait le cadeau de fête des mères de ma Môman, il fallait bien que je lui tricote un truc pour son anniversaire, étant donné que comme moi, c'est une fille du soleil (née en plein mois de juillet). 

Elle me réclamait des chaussettes depuis fort longtemps, l'idée était donc toute trouvée. Une pelote de Regia Stretch color plus tard, elle avait aux pieds une paire de Toe-up socks with a difference (Wendy Johnson). Cette créatrice anglophone a une jolie collection de modèles à son actif mais il me semble que c'est le premier que je tricotais. Ce ne sera sûrement pas le dernier, j'ai bien aimé ce modèle et j'en ai bien sûr toute une série d'elle dans mes favoris ravelry. Parfois je me dis qu'il me faudra une autre vie pour tricoter tout ce qui me donne envie !!! 

Bref. Maman est ravie de ses chaussettes (et veut bien sûr déjà une autre paire), c'est l'essentiel, non ? (plus de photos sur la page ravelry du projet) 

Psst... j'étais bien plus inspirée sur la version anglaise de ce billet, côté blagues etc., je dis ça, je dis rien. 

The sweater I presented last week was in fact my gift for Mothers' Day, and she said she (of course) also wanted a knitted gift for her birthday, in July, but she also hinted she would be delighted with a pair of socks. This did not fall into a deaf girl's ear (sorry about that but this is a very litteral translation of a French phrase - being a professional translator I usually find it quite amusing to say weird things in another language just because it is a litteral translation of a French sentence. Well, I have to admit that this is only fun when with other translators, but still. It seems I am not the only one who finds pleasure in such silly games, just have a look here). 

Did I say I love disgressions? Sorry about that. OK, so yes. A pair of socks for my mother's birthday. Regia stretch color and a Wendy D. Johnson pattern are always a good combo and this one is no exception. Strangely enough I had never knitted any Wendy D. Johnson pattern, which is a shame because they all seem great to me, and I definitely can say that this is not the last one I knit.
