Bien bien bien... j'ai un peu l'impression qu'une faille spatio-temporelle s'est ouverte sur mes pieds et m'a avalée pendant ces semaines de canicule mâtinée de climatisation, boulot oblige. Que dire ? Six semaines sans bloguer et oui, bien sûr que cela m'a un peu manqué parfois, mais la plupart du temps j'avais la flemme. Voilà tu sais tout. En revanche cela ne m'a pas empêchée de tricoter (oh que non !) et j'ai une raison tout particulière pour cela (non je ne suis pas enceinte) (mais presque) (je me comprends). Plus bientôt. 

En attendant, voici donc un truc qui date de mars/avril dernier, à une époque où il faisait encore froid et gris. J'ai tricoté un truc pour une copine de promo qui bosse maintenant à New York, parce que je m'y rendais pour le boulot, à New York, justement. Et cette copine je lui dois une fière chandelle parce qu'elle m'avait commandé à l'époque un magnifique set de doubles pointes de chez KnitPicks complètement introuvable en France (je te parle de 2007, là, figure-toi). Brrrrrrrref, je ne l'avais jamais vraiment remerciée pour ça, donc voilà.

Nalu Mitts (Leila Raabe) et Cocoon (Rililie) en Giunco et Korall de chez Laines du Nord respectivement. Deux très jolis basiques pour l'hiver. Photos prises à l'arrache le matin de bonne heure, avant de partir pour ma conférence à l'ONU (minute « je frime et j'assume »). À vite pour la suite ! 

Well, it has been a while, hasn't it? What can I say? Summer was hot and busy, and one of the things I just could not imagine doing at home at night while trying to find some fresh air was sit in front of my laptop and blog. Which does not mean I have not been knitting (and I know this might sound a bit contradictory but "Contradiction" would probably have been my second name should my parents have given me one, so...). Anyway, I am back and quite determined to blog all the things I have not shown for the past months/years (there is no mistake in my last words). I have a very good reason for that which I might explain in the coming weeks should things evolve the way they should (I am not pregnant) (or not really) (well, something is cooking). 

Anyway, just as an appetizer, you will see above (bad) pictures (my phone is good but grim New York morning light is not really helpful) taken in New York city last April. I wanted to thank one of my college friends for sending me KnitPicks double pointed needles at a time when you could not thind those in France (my friend has been living and working in the US for a few years now), so I knit her a little gift: 

Nalu Mitts (Leila Raabe) and  Cocoon (Rililie) in Giunco and Korall from Laines du Nord.

Perfect patterns for instant gratification knits, these are now on my "emergency Christmas list"!
